Medina — early exposure to scale and responsibility
Medina is where everything started. It’s known as the Prophet’s city, and people grow up hearing that kindness matters before anything else. That tone was everywhere—in how people spoke, how they treated each other, and how work was done.High school was finished there. Days were familiar, structured, and close to home. Outside school, time was split between real work and watching how adults carried responsibility. Working for an investment company introduced expectations early—show up prepared, speak clearly, and follow through.A lot of time was also spent shadowing a father who was the CEO of one of the largest dates manufacturing companies in the region. Offices, meetings, factory floors, and trade shows became normal environments. Representing the company at exhibitions meant standing in front of strangers, answering questions, and learning how business actually moves.It was a place where respect was assumed, effort was visible, and responsibility showed up early.
Gainesville — learning independence in quiet spaces
Gainesville felt slower and more spread out. Life moved without urgency, which made the quiet more noticeable. There was time to think, time to notice habits, and time to feel the weight of doing things on your own.Work during this period meant sitting with small business owners and listening carefully. Conversations were practical and direct. Problems weren’t abstract—they were tied to rent, staffing, and day-to-day survival. There was no room for overthinking, only for understanding what could realistically be done.Outside of work, routines filled the space. Classes, volunteering with Keep Alachua County Beautiful, and long stretches of independence shaped the days. There wasn’t much recognition or noise around it, but responsibility showed up consistently, asking to be handled without supervision.
Riyadh — discipline inside structured pressure
Riyadh moved fast and expected precision. Work happened inside defined systems, where timelines were tight and details mattered. There was little room for ambiguity, and even less patience for being unprepared.Days were spent inside professional environments where decisions were documented, reviewed, and tested. Risk wasn’t abstract—it was measured, discussed, and managed within clear frameworks. Conversations were direct, and expectations were rarely repeated.The pressure wasn’t loud, but it was constant. Structure dictated the pace, and discipline was assumed. Showing up ready wasn’t optional—it was part of the baseline.
Amman — learning to think in systems
Amman slowed things down in a different way. The pace allowed space to focus, question, and understand how things fit together. Days revolved around studying, breaking problems apart, and putting them back together in cleaner ways.Engineering demanded patience. Solutions weren’t rushed, and shortcuts didn’t hold up for long. Processes had to make sense, calculations had to work, and logic had to be consistent from start to finish.
